Strategic Planning for Nonprofits

Having a clear roadmap and strategic plan for your organization is a must have for your organization. Our team provides a supportive multi-month strategic planning journey that engages your key partners in a participatory, high-impact process to align and organize your partners around a shared vision and execution plan.

  • Our team uses a 4-step process that starts with an overarching design (Step 1) with a dedicated Design Team of organizational leaders. This design shapes the overarching strategic planning process (final plan components, workshop agendas, etc.). Additional design components include defining your learning questions, the group experience and activities, and success metrics for the planning process.

  • A blend of research activities, ranging from interviews to focus groups to simple surveys, are implemented through a brief data collection phase (Step 2) that informs your initial Discovery Report (Step 3). The Discovery Report shares recommendations on group workshops needed to build out the final plan (step 4) to flesh out goals, objectives, and success metrics  

  • A strategic planning package includes several deliverables to shape the future work of your nonprofit. Success metrics for the organization are defined with quarterly goals and objectives mapped out over time

  • On-going implementation support included as an optional add-on support (one to one coaching and facilitated quarterly check-in calls) to ensure you are well supported in executing your plan

Annual and Departmental Workshops for Groups

A retreat and planning package provides groups with a facilitated journey and supportive experience to develop a time bound plan for achieving high-level goals and objectives. I support groups in operationalizing their values, strategic directions, and ABIDE commitments (learn more about ABIDE here) through a unified team approach. Community care practices are interwoven to foster staff resilience and collective care.
